When planning your new website it is important to factor in your business goals so that they are met by your investment.
If you are struggling to articulate how your new site will function and need assistance to help refine your brief then I am on hand to help.
I can discuss with you the different possibilities and define the direction of the project before designs are created.
This may lead into a phased approach, where the project is delivered in multiple stages with new functionality added when budgets allow.
Defining your audience
It is really important to understand the audience you are designing your website for.
An example being an estate agent. Customers would expect to be able to search for properties and be able to book viewings or valuations.
These play a key part in the design and can be navigated easily to ensure more successful conversions in enquiries or sales.
During the design phase of the theme it will give you an opportunity to share your likes/dislikes, the style you are looking for and also to consider the tone of voice you want to use.
Developing a custom theme gives your business the opportunity to build a website that is unique to your business and your processes without compromise.
Creating your own bespoke theme makes for easier management and improved website performance. Many off the shelf themes come with additional bloated code and functionality you may never need and can be tricky to implement and build on top of.
During the discovery phase of the project we will be identifying key requirements for your new website that will help us form the overall structure of the site. The outcome of the discovery phase will be a visual representation of the final look and feel of the website.
User Experience (UX) Considerations
You may have an existing site that is suffering from poor engagement and conversion and in order to diagnose the issues it may be appropriate to review the site or standalone page(s).
It will help to identify any troublesome areas that your audience is struggling with and is ultimately missing.
With any new site, I work with the best UX principles to help improve engagement. This can be monitored and reviewed ongoing to measure the success of the implementation.
I have been proud to support many small businesses in the Home Counties with new websites to grow and raise greater awareness of their brands.
Forging partnerships to really understand the drivers essential to their future business success.
