More than your average Website Redesign: A website tailored to drive your success
A website redesign provides your business with an opportunity to refocus and strategise where your business is heading. It also allows you to consider your long term future plans and how the website can support those ambitious goals.
Over time has your business evolved but your website hasn’t? Whilst website aesthetics are important, I will work with you to analyse your audience so that the new website not only looks great but is engaging and ready to convert your ideal customer.

The core deliverables of every website redesign project
The foundations for every website redesign project begin with these core deliverables as a minimum. These ensure each project is built to grow along with your business and ensure a good return on your investment.
Built using WordPress
Fully responsive
Lightweight
SEO ready
Scalable
Customisable
Bespoke functionality
Custom themes
Block system – flexible layouts
Have you been battling a page builder that makes landing page creation a real challenge? Or do you fear that the latest on page updates are going to disrupt the layout? You are not alone!
For this reason I have created “flexible layout blocks”. This allows you to mix and match your layouts to create engaging landing pages that help keep your visitors’ interests high.
Depending on your website’s specific needs these layouts may vary. Custom functionality can be built into them allowing you to re-use them on any landing page you need them to.
Making your content more ‘shareable’
When creating your landing pages there may be content such as testimonials that you may want to share in multiple places.
Rather than having to copy and paste them in multiple locations, I develop modules that centralise this content so you can reuse effortlessly.
Bespoke functionality designed to your exact business needs
Every website has different requirements that an off-the-shelf solution cannot always give you.
Custom functionality allows your new website to align with your various processes and systems that you will need to integrate with. If scoped well, the functionality can develop and scale as the website does.
For many businesses this can mean: higher productivity due to time savings and removal of costly systems and third party licences.
Examples of the bespoke functionality created to date for my clients
Custom booking processes
Due to a third party system not being able to support my clients needs to help their clients easily book appointments
Live Events Page
Pennard Hill Farm needed a page for their Farm Feast Series & Glastonbury Festival pages to reflect live bookings.
Delivery Charges in Miles
Integrating a mileage calculator using Google Maps API to work out delivery charges for my client, Millie Miles Event Hire
Timescales of projects
Brochure Websites typically take between 8-12 weeks and Ecommerce Websites 10-16 weeks. This is from proposal sign off through to website launch.

The timescales of each project ultimately depend upon size and the level of bespoke functionality the website has.
This is also reliant on client deadlines being met in order to fulfill the project within the specified timescale.

Whether you looking to promote a service or sell a product/service you need a website that can showcase them effectively.

Frequently asked questions
Although each website project is built to exact specifications, there are a list of common frequently asked questions that repeatedly come up. Peruse the list below, which should answer the main questions.
Of course, please contact me if your question is more specific.
Who is responsible for writing website content?
This is the responsibility of you, the client to provide. I can however connect you to a copywriter should you require support to write or refine your website content.
Are you website quotations a on-off cost?
Yes, the investment is a one-off cost. I don’t offer a monthly subscription model. As this gives you freedom once you have paid the final invoice to invest into new projects with your new website.
I highly recommend clients join my monthly support services as this will ensure your website is maintained and supported regularly. Keeping your website up to date and protected.
Each project is split into 6 phases: deposit, strategy, design (+ amendments), development and launch. After the final launch invoice the website is yours.
Can I request changes during the redesign process?
Yes, you can, however this will impact the final investment value of the project. This is at my discretion. In these cases a quotation will be provided and this will then adjust the remaining invoices.
Do you work with new businesses?
Yes, whilst I specialise in working with established businesses and organisations I do work with new businesses and start-ups.
My requirements are that you have a brand (name, logo, colours) and a domain name. as this helps drive the design of the website.
Can I stop a project midway through?
In the unfortunate position you want to cease working with Lee Vanstone Web Development during the project process, I request this in writing and any outstanding invoices are paid.
As the projects are split into phases these mean your investment is spread out. Reducing your exposure should you wish to stop.
Do you only build on WordPress?
Yes, I only develop brochure and ecommerce websites using WordPress.
Can you recommend partners for content and assets?
Yes, I can suggest a relevant partner to join the project. From SEO, copywriting, photographer/videographer etc.
These individuals help add to the effectiveness and aesthetic of your new website. Ensuring your brand messaging is clear and your products and services are showcased effectively.
Do you include ongoing support after a redesign?
Yes, I do.
Following launch I do provide 2 weeks of support for anything that may not be known before launch occurred. Fixing small things. This does constitute large changes. Those would need to be quoted for.
Following launch, I offer website support packages starting from £90 per month. Support focused on proactive work rather than just focusing on reactive support queries.
What do I require to develop a website?
In order to run a smooth website project, I require website copy, photography (can be stock photography) and brand assets (logos, brand guidelines etc).
Do you require upfront payment to commence a project?
The only payment upfront is the deposit to secure the slot in my schedule and to provide a budget to begin the project.
Can I pay monthly for my website?
I currently don’t offer this option but special exceptions can be made. Contact info@leevanstone.co.uk if you want to find out more.
Do you only use WooCommerce for ecommerce websites?
For ecommerce websites I currently only use WooCommerce.
Can I host my own website?
Yes, should you wish to host your website yourself, that is not a problem.
All I ask is the server details that allow me to build the website on your hosting. You are then responsible for renewals and any PHP upgrades.
Do you offer SEO support?
No, whilst I work on SEO best practices, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is a specialist service. I do partner with some excellent SEO specialists. Should you have your own, I can work in partnership with them.
Can you partner with my team and suppliers?
Yes, happy to work with partners to help bring your new website to life. All I ask is for their contact details so I can introduce myself and build a rapport with them.
Can you do more than one design concept?
In order to keep my website projects competitive I offer one design concept. The other reason is during the strategy we discuss your design preferences and from requirement gathering I do gather a wealth of information about what will be most effective for your website and how you would like it to look.
Additional concepts can be made but would require additional budget. Prices start from £450.
Can we do multiple rounds of design concept revisions?
It is important the design meets your expectations. Should in the event you would like to make further amendments after the first round of amendments additional rounds can be provided.
A quotation will be created based on the number of amendments required.
Can you support brand design?
Branding and graphic design are specialist services, whilst I will adhere to business brand guidelines, I can offer partners who can help support with branding. Branding is essential for me to guide the design.
Do you handle both design and development?
Yes, from the strategy to design to development, I work with you from the start. Therefore you will speak directly to the person developing the website.
Would you build a website that we designed?
I can develop websites that are designed elsewhere. However designs will need to be reviewed ahead of quoting. Due to the time required, I will need to charge for this. Price on application.
Will my SEO be affected by a redesign?
Every effort is made to ensure your website is set up correctly to support SEO professionals. Where possible meta descriptions and titles can be ported. However it is the responsibility of the copywriter/SEO specialist to provide them should you wish to update.
All website redesigns come with website redirects as standard. To ensure you don’t lose immediate SEO equity on launch.
How much does a website redesign cost?
Brochure websites start from £2400 and ecommerce sites start from £4000.
Can you redesign my site in phases to spread out costs?
Yes, for many businesses it is essential to build a website in phases. Building the core (minimum viable product) before you invest in the full scope of the website (eg. Proof of concept).
This is something we can cover in the discovery call.
Do you provide training on how to manage my new site?
Yes, every website redesign project comes with complimentary website training. This ensures that you can make your own edits to your website so you are not reliant on a Web Developer to make edits for you.
These can be delivered in person or online. All I kindly ask is a list of people attending. This is so I can gauge the numbers of who I am meeting.
